JOB SUMMARY

The Filed Operator is responsible for the operation of all terminal equipment needed in the site for the receipt, storage and loading from the tanks or ITT between tanks for various hydrocarbon materials in coordination with control room and shift engineer, Ensuring the operational process on the site and monitoring all operations and always maintaining smooth and safe operation while complying with the approved procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION / Main Tasks & Duties

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working on the site in coordination with the Control Room Operator and operation Engineer by radio or phone.
  • Respond to requests to initiate activities on the site, such as making manual adjustments to valves and equipment etc.
  • Monitor local instruments, gauges, and meters to verify conformance to standard operating.
  • Collect samples of various streams and deliver them to external and internal stakeholders when it’s required.
  • Start and stop pumps, compressors and other equipment based on the direction of the control room operator.
  • Reviewing PID’s, preparing the flow path from site for loading-unloading and ITT.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating normally and that no unusual conditions exist while patrolling the site.
  • Monthly floating roof inspection, tanks dewatering, manual dipping, and conducting daily, weakly, and monthly inspection checklist and reporting to shift engineer.
  • Responsible for preparing equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other procedures as required.
  • Take appropriate actions in accordance with the Control Room Operator and Operations Engineer in case of emergency.
  • Regularly report near-misses, unsafe acts and conditions, and immediately report any incident or accident that may occur to the Shift Leader.
  • Reporting all abnormal parameters or situations to shift engineers and preparing MTR.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, health and fire prevention rules and procedures defined and set out by the company.
  • Any other reasonable duties may be assigned.

Vessel discharge operation (AOT):

  • Set up the readiness of the pipelines (lineup) for transferring cargo from the ship to the shore tanks.
  • Monitor tank parameters.

Qualifications

 

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field.

Years of Experience

2-4 years of relevant experience.

Arabic, English
